Want abs?

Apparently this two minute exercise is more effective than running on a treadmill.

If anything, these two Asian guys look silly and are funny to watch.

Will be trying this workout with my usual daily 1-2 run .. let’s see what happens.

Race runners out there! I need some advice..

So I’ve booked a ticket to Chicago to run Komen Race for the cure 2011 on September 24th.

3 months, is that enough time to train for a 10k? Is this realistic given that I’ve never run a race before?

Here are a few facts you should know before telling me I’m crazy or that I’m not about to do something stupid:

  • I run about 2 straight miles everyday so a 5k (3miles) doesn’t really feel like much a challenge. I do want to challenge myself.
  • I’ve bike 15 straight miles. 30 miles with a break between. I used to bike at least 10 miles on a daily basis.
  • Not sure if this means anything but I weigh 113 pounds, meaning.. I’m not that strong.

Also, um raising $1,000 in 3 months.. also do-able ..right?

Komen also offers a half marathon and a 5k so if there are any Chicagoan race newbies interested in joining me, let me know!

Looks a lot easier than it actually is. Barely made it to “run for 10 Minutes”.
My problem are squats. I don’t know if I’m doing them wrong but the next day I’m always super sore around my knees. Anyway suggestions for fixing this problem?

It was painful, awkward and totally worth $12. It was also done in some basement salon decked out in Hindi decor..which was also a first.
(And yes, I look stupid here. No shame.)
